Ancient Angels of North America: An Artistic and Musical Journey Through Native American Legends

Before European settlers arrived in North America, Indigenous civilizations told extraordinary stories of invisible guardians, winged warriors, powerful spirits, and mysterious beings who protected humanity and watched over the natural world.

Who were these ancient guardians? Were they supernatural beings, legendary ancestors, or symbols of humanity's deep connection with nature?

In Ancient Angels of North America, author and artist Lidia LoPinto explores the fascinating world of Native American mythology, Indigenous spiritual traditions, and ancient North American legends through historical research, vivid storytelling, and breathtaking full-color artwork.

Travel across the forests, deserts, mountains, and frozen oceans of North America to discover four remarkable spiritual traditions.

AN EXPLORATION OF THE MYSTERIES THAT CONNECT HUMANITY AND NATURE

Across civilizations, people have imagined mysterious beings who guide, protect, warn, and sometimes challenge humanity. Although these Indigenous spiritual figures are distinct from the angels of Christian tradition, their stories raise fascinating questions about the origins of spiritual beliefs and the relationship between human beings and the natural world.

Drawing upon historical accounts and Indigenous traditions, Lidia LoPinto distinguishes documented legends from her own artistic interpretations and unanswered historical questions.
